YAHAYA, ALL NOT LOST!

 By Ebenezer Zor
At times destiny could some how be cruel but on the credit side good but supposedly the order of the world.

I was perturbed upon hearing that the top goal poacher of this season Glo premier league, Yahaya Mohammed could not made to AFCON 2013.

The former Kotoko ace striker on –loan to Amidaus Professionals have been part of the provisional 26-man squad announced by Coach Appiah until some days ago  ruled out form the team to United Arab Emirates following  a groin injury which according to team paramedics would last for four weeks.

Honestly writing, it is a catastrophe not to only him but to the entire football community as well. Yahaya is a promising figure and for that matter that I encourage him to never loose hope rather keep faith and positivism alive for his time will surely come.

I would appeal to the Professional League Board (PLB) through the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to see to it he also get the best from the AFCON tourney.

On the issue of Dede Ayew’s injury, if it is a way of intending not feature for the country due to his brother Jordan Ayew’s exclusion from the squad then so be it. It is about time Ghana stops hyping players to a pinnacle that they have not gotten to.

And this was one of the reasons why none of our players were shortlisted in the last year BBC African player award won by Christopher Katongo of Zambia, needless to say win an award at the Glo CAF awards last year held at the state Banquet Hall in Accra.
