MEDEAMA SEND HEARTS OF OAK INTO RELEGATION ZONE

Hearts of Oak after losing 3-1 to Medeama yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium have jumped down into the relegation zone of the Glo Premier League with just a match to end the first round.

Current league leaders Medeama, drawn the first blood in the 5th minute when Joseph Gordon scored but Hearts soon drew level through Mahatma Otoo three minutes later.

 Medeama bounced back when former Hearts of Oak midfielder Eric Nyarko made it two six minutes later for  Medeama before recess.

 Gordon grabbed a brace when he let go 35-yard shot past goalkeeper Tetteh Lugard to give Medeama a comfortable in the 55th minute.

The Phobians who sits 14th on the standings will hope for change as they go into 2013.
