PREVIEW: TEMA YOUTH AGAINST AMIDAUS

 By Ebenezer Zor
With  just a week to Ghana’s 2012 December polls, the Glo premier enters its week  ten fixtures at the various centers this Sunday after which it bounces back on 16 December 2012.

At Tema artificial, it is another local clash as Tema Youth takes on Amidaus professionals’ in a match of equal strength. It will be both teams’ first meetings in the History of Ghana football. Amidaus must win this game to keep them in chase for the title. Tema may be looking forward for a change in their modus operandi against town rivals Amidaus.

Coach David Duncan will play his fourth game as Accra Hearts of Oak take on Ashanti gold at the Accra Sports Stadium. It will be the first meeting against former Club Ashanti gold for Coach Duncan. Hearts drew two all with Amidaus whiles Ashanti gold lost three times on the bounce. Can Duncan do the magic against his former or Coach Yaw Acheampong for Ashanti gold to give Hearts a good run for their money?

The scientific soccer lads, Liberty Professionals’ will play as visitors to New Edubiase at the Gyamfi Park at Bekwai. Edubiase held Kotoko to goalless in Kumasi whereas Liberty one by a goal margin against Tema Youth in last week matches. Both teams would attempt for a ravenous victory to the admiration of the team faithful.

Notwithstanding that, all roads lead to the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium where second placed on the league Ebusua Dwarfs come face to face against defending champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Dwarfs have won all their last two matches is poised to halt Kotoko’s unbeaten record in the ongoing season. Kotoko might want to revenge the home and away defeats at the hands of the same last season.

Kwesi Nyantayi’s side Wa All Stars will host relegation threatening side RTU at the Wa Park. Wa All Stars look more promising to deepen the wounds of RTU. On the other side of the coin, RTU must win this game to at least keep themselves above the waters.

Invariably, resurgent Berekum Arsenals will be at the Golden Ciy Park and play league leaders in a very cagey encounter whiles Medeama squares off against the borbor boys, Kpando Hearts of Lions at the T and A Park at Tarkwa.

Similarly, Berekum Chelsea will make a short journey to play as visitors to Alhaji Grusah’s side King Faisal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in game described by football pundits as only time will tell after 90 minutes
