Appiah’s provisional 26 man squad for the Black Stars of Ghana prior to the
2013 African Cup of Nations Cup (AFCON) in South Africa starting from January
19th to February 10th has sprouted several comments and
the latest to have a bite on the issue is Pink Fm head of sports broadcasting
journalist.
Mr. Prince Appaih
Kubi lauded the manner in which Coach James employed to the select the 26 man
squad which will be prune to 23 man team.

interview, Mr. Kubi also known as “Mayor” on the stereo believes the list
released some days ago was genuine without any influence on Coach Appiah from
stakeholders.
Dilating on the
entire squad he explained the three goalkeepers comprising of Adam Kwarasey,
Daniel Adjei and Fatau Dauda are the best we have and could perform marvelously
when given a chance.
And being a presenter
in addition, he noted that the current defence men are equally tremendous and
with their individual composure could make it a little tough for Coach Appiah
to choose any for a duel.
“The presence of
Anthony Annan, Derek Boateng, Andre Dede Ayew, Emmaunel Agyemang Badu, Kwadwo
Asamoah and others in the midfield cast my mind back to the old days of the
likes of Stephen Leroy Appiah, Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari, even though
they are exclusive” he added.
Sharing his view on
three players whom should be withdraw, he revealed that he cannot single any
one out since all of them are good materials in fact the best Coach Appiah has
selected to clinch the continental wear for
Ghana in 31 years.
“I have confidence in
the boys” he concluded.
