Faisal v Chelsea game abandoned due to rains

King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea will return to the Baba Yara Stadium on Monday afternoon to replay their match-day-10 fixture after it rained-off on Sunday. Heavy rains forced the cancellation of the game in Kumasi ten minutes into the start of the second half. With both sides drawing 1-1, the downpour which started in the first half left the pitches soggy and rendered them unplayable. Chelsea scored the opener in the first half through Bismark Idan but Prince Boateng drew Faisal level in the second half before the game was rained off. It is only the match-day-10 fixture to have suffered from adverse weather conditions. NB: The match was played last Monday and both teams drew goalless.
