STARS GET NEW KIDS

Espanyol and Ghana's midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has been the talked of the week after his goal won the last Wednesday international friendly against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in Lisbon, Portugal.

Mubarak Wakaso's 64th minute goal was his maiden appearance for the senior national and also marked his debut as a complete international with an exceptional dexterity among a class of youngsters to justify their inclusion for a place ahead of 2013 AFCON in South Africa under the watchful eyes of Coach James Akwasi Appiah.

Wakaso, the former Under- 17 player played for Coach David Duncan at the African Championship in Gambia, world cup in Peru both in 2005 and perhaps played for Ashantigold before moving into Europe scene.

Other youngsters were Abdul Majeed Warris, Albert Adomah, Nana Kessi Boateng and Richmond Boakye Yiadom all had taste of the game. 

Though the friendly was without some big guys like bereaved new captain, Asamoah Gyan, Ayew brothers it was a good test for the kids to compete for the final list as favourite for Coach James Akwasi Appiah.
