After series of verbal salvo in the uncompromising super two clash early this season, the much awaited Ghana’s version of Derby Dela Madolina between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak comes off this Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The clash dubbed: “The Clash of Titans” is the only outstanding match left in the week seven fixtures yet to be cleared over the weekend.

Historically, both teams have met 98 times with Kotoko winning 33 as compare to 31wins of Hearts and the rest being draw.

Kotoko currently lies 7th with ten points out of six matches whiles Hearts with seven points and lies 12th on the league log.
Initially this highly profiled encounter which happens once in a lifetime was supposed to be honoured last week but due the intervention of a political party for the usage of the stadium, it was rescheduled to this Sunday.

Kotoko still holds their unbeaten form in the ongoing Glo Premier League 2012/2013 season as they went away to pip Medeame by alone goal in the week six at T and A Park at Tarkwa.

On other hand, Accra Hearts have to struggle in the week six to clinch a 3 -2 win over RTU at their own backyard.

Defending champions, Asante Kotoko who stands as favourite last season trampled over Accra Hearts in an epic showdown when Michael Akuffo thunderbolt secured a 2-1 victory for the Porcupine Warriors.

The Phobians have not been all that promising this season but yet to diagnose their rhythm after parting company with ex-coach C.K. Akunnor for former Ashantigold manager David Duncan on a three years contract as a replacement.

Hearts
For the two coaches; Masud Didi Dramani-Kotoko and David Duncan- Hearts, it will be their first meetings as technical handlers for the two glamorous clubs in the country respectively.
