Understanding the 7 keys of praising God.

We must know that we are blessed to appreciate what has been created for us. The following are some of the different meaning of praise in Hebrew; please bear in mind that spellings and pronunciations sometimes vary. We have to be constant and consistent in the practice of these form of praise in other to maintain our stand in God.

1.       CHEBAK
Chebak-- is a loud commendation of what God has done. This is shouting with a loud voice of praise, exultation, totally lose in a joyful praise of God. it is a mighty proclamation of the awesome God while standing upon the highest mountains and declaring his wonderful work which none can ignore. (Psalms 50; 1-2 and psalms150; 6) that says let everything that breathes praise the lord.

  2. JUDAH
Judah --is a name of a tribe in Israel but it also means praise in the Hebrews. Judah is the praise that saves souls and it is a praise of thanksgiving, which lead to deliverance, salvation and redemption. This particular one causes God to ambush all our enemy around us as we praise him, deliverance follows this kind of praise( 2Ch 20; 22 ) and when they began to sing and praise, God set ambushes against them the sons of Ammmon, Moab and the mount seir  who can come against Judah, and they were beaten, that the power of praise.

  3. YAWDAR
Yawdar—is to stretch forth our hand in adoration, this is a sign of total surrender to God in praise and worship.(psalms 134; 1-3 and psalms 63; 4 ) So I will bless you while I live, I will lift up my hands in your name. It is a sign of total surrender to God.

4. ZAWMAR
Zawmar—is to make music unto the lord, it implies using musical instruments to accompany our praise and worship(  psalms 150;1-5) and the 5, says praise him on the sounding cymbals, praise him with the resounding cymbals.

5. HAWLAR
Hawlar—is a splendid display to demonstrate the praise of God. This is a joyous, glamorous and outlandish affectation of the lord and a very lavish praise of God. David was totally lost balance dancing shamelessly before the lord (2sam 6; 14-15) which also says that; David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of God with shouting.
                                                           
6. BARAK
Barak --is a keening down before the lord in worship. Its a sign of humility before the lord in love and adoration (psalms 95;6 ) . Remember that our humility before God is the secret power of our life,

7. TEHILLAH
Tehillah --is to sing joyfully unto the lord. It is a state of spiritual ecstasy in praise ,that is a kind of praise with excitement, a very expressive and expansive form of praise and a praise cannot be quantified or qualified. It is an outlandish praise before the lord.(psalms 66;1 and psalms 98;1)
