AshantIgold's unbeaten spree in the season was brought to a rest as they lost to Aduana Stars by a lone goal at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in the match day seven of the ongoing Glo Premier League.
Here at the results for the other fixtures excluding Kotoko and Hearts clash at the Baba Yara postponed to 18 November 2012.
Aduana went into the game with a defensive parked formation while Ashantigold were in for the the kill since playing at home.
Both teams were desperate to at least either win the three points or just a point. The first half ended goalless.
Aduana in the second half mounted pressure on Ashantigold and
succeeded in scoring in the 57th minutes when Francis Larbi, raced
through the defence of Ashgold and gave a pass to Richard Arhin to shoot
the ball past goalkeeper Isaac Akrong
Ashgold led by their top
striker Yakubu Mohammed tried all they could to level up but the defense
of Aduana foiled all their moves until the final whistle.
Robert Aryeetey of Aduana was red carded by referee Jonathan Tetteh.
