Preview: Medeama to test re-packaged Hearts of Oak

Glo premiership enters match day 17 with one match played yesterday whiles  two postponed due to continental assignments. The bulk of the matches come off on Sunday.


The matches involving Asante Kotoko – King Faisal likewise Aduana Stars – Edubiase have been postponed due to Kotoko and Edubiase respective continental assignments over the weekend.



 Apparently, the top fixture of the weekend will see T&A Park home grounds of Medeama SC welcome Accra Hearts Of Oak for a fierce engagement.  The league leaders who currently under a new technical handler, Shaibu Tanko following ex –coach Bashir Hayford departure to Ashantigold before the second round kick start  lost 4-0 to Tema Youth in week 16.


Accra Hearts managed to pull a slim one victory over King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium after both teams drew 1-1 in the first round at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium but still languishing in the bot tom three from the relegation zone.


However,  Medeame who stunned Hearts 3-1 in the first at the Accra Sports Stadium will have a lot to offer as Hearts have stepped up their footing on the pedal.


Kpando Hearts of Lions will play as host to Ebusua Dwarfs at the Kpando  Park. Both teams drew goalless in the first round and set to improve on their performance to avoid any relegation threats.


In Accra, scientific soccer lads, Liberty Professionals’ not leaving any stone unturned as they welcome bottom side from the league log Real Tamale United at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman.  Liberty drew 1-1 with  RTU away will not have easy facing a stubborn RTU in Accra.


Elsewhere, Coach Bashir Hayford new side, Ashantigold will aim at recording a home and an away win over Wa All Stars in the second round of match day 17 of the 2012/2013 Glo premiership at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium. During the interim coaching spree of Kofi Amoako, Ashantigold piped All Stars 1-0 in the first round away but All Stars will like to turn the table around this time around. A win for any time will not be surpsrising.
 
Coincidentally,  Berekum Arsenals will be looking forward to win their game against informed Tema Youth at the Golden City Park. Arsenals lost 1-0 away to Edubiase while Tema Youth hammered Medeama 4-0 at the Tema Park. Meanwhile Arsenals lost 2-0 to Tema Youth in the first leg. A lost for Arsenals will not go down with them
