FC Barcelona over the weeks have had some darker moments as
they could be on the verge of losing out on the champions league dream as they engage AC
Milan at Nou Camp for the second leg of the knock out on Tuesday.
Barcelona suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Ac Milan some couple
of weeks ago where Ghana duo Sulley Muntari and Kelvin Prince Boateng stole the
headlines as they scored a goal each their side AC Milan.
Before that match, Barcelona had to fought hard to pull a
2-1 victory over Sevilla in the Spanish La-Liga and just recently lost twice on
the bounce to bitterest rivals Real Madrid, first 3-1 in Copa Del Rey
second leg in Nou Camp and 2-1 lost again in the La-Liga second round at the
Santiago Bernabeu, home grounds of Real Madrid.
It seems Barcs ideology is wrinkling no wonder Real Madrid
over the years have probed for the antidote which they had in their last two
games.
Obviously, there seem to be fatigue sinking the Catalans
of Spanish football, Barcelona and some
fans have subscribe this recent poor performance to the absence of Coach Tito
Vilanova who currently is in New York undergoing cancer treatment.
Disaster will be waiting to happen if Barcelona does not
produce magic to beat AC Milan on Tuesday to keep their fifth champions league
title alive.
The defensive central
pair of Carlos Puyol and Gerrad Pique has been quite jittery as age is catching
with Carlos Puyol not to comment even on the midfielders . Both teams’ stands a chance of progressing into the stage
but pressure will be on Barc to prove a point.
On records both teams have met 16 times with AC Milan
winning ten games as to six wins of Barc. It means there have not been any
draw as far as their meetings are concerned.
Can Barc beat AC Milan to qualify into the champions’ league
quarter finals and then progress to the grand finale to be played in Wembly
stadium, England?
