Black Stars is for all not a few.

The senior national team, Black Stars in recent times cannot get back to its normalcy as players  are using such platform as a habitat of rejecting calls to the team on basis of been disrespected by either technical men or the nation.

These traits have been the hallmark among the players especially our so- called professionals who always picture themselves bigger than the country because the nation depends on them so much to hoist the nation’s flag high during any sporting discipline any where.

As result such love, respect and oneness for them to feel at home have turned out to be a worthless effort which does look unpromising for the nation in the development of sports.

Now the current professional players have penciled in the minds to either choose when to play for the team or be begged by sports stakeholders before they issue their green lights.
Not long ago, former Portsmouth player who currently plies his trade with Italian giant Ac Milan, Kelvin Prince Boateng decided not to feature for the Black Stars due to reasons best known to him.

Some of the attitudinal arrest from these players leaves much to deserve and they seem unconcerned since what they earn at their club levels are heavier than what the nation offers to them per single match.

Even just a few days ago, Dede Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew who both play for French Ligue 1 side Marseille have both proclaim or declared their unavailability  for the national team in the days ahead for a reason which might liaise with their exclusion from the national team before the 2013 AFCON tourney in South Africa.

So are these players expecting the whole nation to beg them before rending their support to the nation? This is unbelievable and catastrophic for such to happen whiles our ongoing local league can supply the team with better replacements who are looking for the opportunity sell themselves to the football market to make the nation proud with the little encouragement.

If today the Ayew brothers have agreed not feature for the senior national team so be it and let us not count our chickens before their hatch.
The Ayews brothers’ decision is not the first time such issue has cropped up.  It is rather informing the football stakeholders to focus less on the professionals and more on the locally based players to be incorporated into the team for the continuity.

Our respect and trust have been looked down upon and taken for granted by these professionals whom we have always believed in them.

Let’s we forget the Black Stars is not for a few, but for all and anybody called to don the shirts of the country irrespective fame or position must disguise himself and follow the team’s direction by the management than carry his shoulders high.

Additionally, the management should not attempt to draw them and others into the Stars fold for but where things are oppositely it will not add value and respect to GFA and the technical bench likewise a gross disrespect to the nation.

For me it is about time the technical handlers pay more attention to the virtually good local players ready to explode for the Black Stars than always focusing on our professionals’ aiming at drawing swords into our hearts.
