No More Shame!

 Writer: Ebenezer Zor

“Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid, there is no more disgrace
Ebenezer Zor
for you’’ Isaiah 54:4b

Every question has an answer. Deliberating upon it, there are no problems without solutions. Truly, not all problems could be solved by the people around you. However, there is only one personality that has solutions to every predicament you might experience or think of. That person is God. Taking you to previous verse in the opening piece, when Jerusalem was in tatters, God spoke to Prophet Jeremiah to spread the message saying; no more disgrace or shame for you. What is eating you up? Are people mocking you because you do not belong to a class? Do you intend ending your life because of pain, agony, embarrassments?

Look no further than God. Per this message, declare that from today there will be no shame or disgrace in your life in the name of Jesus Christ. You can say amen after declaring.

God moves a step ahead of you to weed out all obstacles on the way. Making a case of hope; Isaiah 45:2 tell us “I will go before you, Cyrus and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and out through the bars of iron’’. The mountains in spiritual context indicate troubles while the bronze means those behind it and the bars; the degree of the problem.

Cyrus was God’s chosen town. Today you are also chosen. Already, God has gone ahead of you straightening all crooked paths to ensure that there will be no more shame now and for the future.

 PRAYER

Father, again and again you keep blessing me with the word. I believe it is reflecting in every area of my life in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

I Am Confident

 Writer: Ebenezer Zor

“Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living’’ Psalm 28:13

For you to move a step further in life, you ought to encourage, inspire yourself despite how real the world is. If you are not happy, can someone bring smiles on your face? You cannot live in the world free from trouble. Troubles must not weigh your down; rather spark you to let it go because ideas are often pregnant will solutions.

The solution is being confident in the Lord that it will soon be over. There are bound to be a challenge at a start, but at the end is different. Your beginnings should not deter you, rather be confident and hope for good endings.

The philosopher in Ecclesiastes 7:8 tell us “Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride’’

No matter how events might shape, look up to God with confidence, patience and believe that your finishing is greater than the starting.

May the Lord bless you, protect you, smile on you and be gracious to you.

Pensioners Must Avoid Refined Carbohydrates – Mr. Tsikata

IMG-20150803-WA0001Life can be enjoyed with absolutely no health problems even in old age if one eats the right food at the right time in the right proportion.

This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer of Tsikarts Mr. Eric Tsikata last Tuesday at koforidua.
He was speaking at a seminar organized by Tsikarts and Sheeba Links for The Ghana Government Pensioners Association of the Eastern Region.

The seminar dubbed “the challenges and beauty of old age was aimed at educating the elderly on the possibility of living healthy during old age.

“Your body needs nutrients from good food to keep you healthy. Eating balanced diet will surely keep your body in its ideal shape however, over eating a good diet is unhealthy and could distort your looks”, he said.
Mr. Tsikata encouraged the aged to drink enough water so as to prevent dehydration and also cleanse the body of toxins.

“Water helps your body to function well. You do not have to feel thirsty before you take water. Make it a habit to drink at least eight glasses of water everyday”, he added.
According to him, too much consumption of salt depletes the body of calcium thereby causing ones bones to become weak.

He also advised the pensioners to avoid the excessive use of refined carbohydrates and processed food and rather take whole meal, such as oats, unpolished maize, brown bread, etc. and fruits and vegetables which are packed with fiber necessary for digestion, metabolism and general cleansing of the body.
He noted that eating very late in the night and just before sleep may cause obesity and therefore must be avoided.

Mr. Tsikata also cautioned against the high intake of alcoholic beverages, sugar and caffeinated drinks.
He stressed the need for adequate rest and also exercises to stay healthy.

Lacking Speed; Wait For It!

 Author: Ebenezer Zor

“Put it in writing because it is not yet time for it to come. But the time is coming
quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it, it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed’’ Habakkuk 2:3

This was a message from God to Prophet Habakkuk at a time when the Babylonians were in power over the Israelites. Habakkuk worried about the cruelty, violence exhibited by the people. He asked the Lord “so why are you silent while they destroy people who are more righteous than they are?’’ The Lord’s answer was he would take action in his own good time, and meanwhile “the righteous would live because they are faithful to God’’. Everything God has said about us shall come to pass in his time not ours. It may lack speed; but wait patiently for it.

Ecclesiastics 3:11 tell us “He has sent the right time for everything. He has given us a desire for the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what he does’’.

The Lord has prepared a time (day, week, month, and year) to make all things beautiful for your own good. Very soon, the hardship you see today will be no more. It may seem slow, but surely goodness and mercies; victories would come in no time.

As ideas are pregnant with solutions, so is God full of goodness to shower on you.

Staying Healthy

Staying active can make you feel better than any other medicine. Remember feeling better on the inside will
Writer: Mr Eric Tsikata
CEO Tsikarts
surely show on the outside and will enhance the way you look.

The best way to stay active is to cherish work, games, sports, walking , playing etc. A dormant indoor life for a long time is not good for your body, skin and general health. Instead of watching television or using the computer for a long time, try walk and sight seeing. Instead of letting your servant or children do all house chores, try doing them yourself sometimes.

House chores are some ways of giving yourself a free style exercise. Try parking your car sometimes and do some stroll or walk. Climb stairs instead of always using the elevator or lift. Visit interesting places, tourist centers, beaches etc. Get some sunshine(in moderation) and fresh air as well! The sun can help your body produce vitamin D. Some few minutes of sunshine a day will surely give you a healthy glowing skin.

Exercise will keep your heart healthy, aid blood circulation, metabolism, natural cleansing of the body, tone your shape and skin hence giving you that healthy beautiful skin. Some activities that can help keep you healthy include, cycling, playing basketball or football horse riding, karate, dancing, yoga, walking, swimming and etc.

Just as exercise is important, resting is also important. You can pamper yourself by doing something to keep you in a high spirit of peace and serenity once a while. It could be taking a long bath, getting a spa, massage, enjoying the sea breeze at the beach, being in the pool, etc. You can create a joyful day of total bliss at home by trying the at home spa by yourself or with a loved one.

You can also visit one of the resorts for an intriguing experience. Soaking yourself in the tub or the bath basin using a scented bath gel with lukewarm water to bath will surely give you a feeling of freshness. Give a special cleaning or scrub to your feet, especially heels. You can light some candles near the tub to create a beautiful scenery. Do not rush to get out fast, feel relaxed.

Apply a soothing lotion to damp skin after bath, wrap yourself in a big towel or beautiful robe, wash your face using a gentle soap or face cleanser. You can try a soothing facial treatment by adding herbal tea bags, lemon or bowl of lukewarm water. Lean your face over the bowl for some minutes and then clean your face dry. You can also try some massage by the help of a specialist or at-home massage by a loved one with a soothing massage cream or oil.

After pampering yourself, free your mind from all problems, bad moment, house chores, homework, stress, disturbance and friends.

Turn on your favorite song, preferably a cool, soft and relaxing music with a glass of fruit juice or any chilled natural drink. Relax in your bed, chair or couch comfortably and enjoy your music. Close your eyes taking few breaths, visualize the beauty of creation, interesting places and great moments and memories! Think about the wonder of nature, the goodness and greatness of the creator and His favour and blessings, think about all the lovely people in your life, Go on, till you are swept by sleep.

Apart from pampering yourself once a while, try at least fifteen to thirty minutes relaxation everyday and get adequate sleep too because without enough sleep you will feel restless, tired, irritable, and your akin, hair and eyes will look dull, Get at least seven hours sleep each night.

Relaxation is an important part of beauty art. The benefits of rest are immense so do not underestimate it.
Rest re-invigorates body, mind and spirit, making you feel fresh and renews, it also prevents and heals physical, psychological and emotional challenges.

To live a healthy life, please find time to pamper yourself!!

Juabeng Students Advised To Show Respect

 By Ebenezer Zor

Students of Juabeng Senior High (JSH) School have been advised to demonstrate respect towards each other and their school authorities in order to promote peaceful coexistence among all.

The advice was given by the Chief Executive Officer of Tsikarst, Mr. Eric Tsikata during a seminar held for the students of the school on the need to remain courteous at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

He stated that discipline attracts favour and succes to individuals so no matter how intelligent one is, discipline shouldn’t be taken for granted adding that students should also be very punctual and studious so that they will become better individuals in the near future.
“life out there is not easy, one needs to be hardworking in other to become successful”, he stressed.

Mr. Tsikata also advised the students to be careful about who they called friends since bad company corrupts good manners.

He Loves Forever

Writer: Ebenezer Zor

Ebenezer Zor

“He may bring us sorrow, but his love for us is sure and strong’’ Lamentations 3:32

God is calculative and wonderful. He continues to shower his love for us in several ways. Yes, he might bring sorrow, but is just for a short time and in all circumstances we ought to give thanks. “In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him” Ecclesiastics 7:14

Unlike the wicked ones whose arrows of pain, grief toward its targeted items destroy completely, God still love us no matter the circumstances. The decision to be a Christian today is yours.

Lamentations 3:33 tell us “for he does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow’’. This love became intense when he allowed His only son Jesus Christ to descend from glory to die for our sins and renew our spirit to the Father in heaven.

“For God so loved the world so much that he gave his one and only son, so that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life’’ John 3:16
His loves does not know any barrier. God requires us to learn His words so that we are not destroyed by earthly activities. By doing so, we must love all as God loves us.

Quote: “Make all you can, save all you can, give all you can” John Wesley

Want To Be Born Again?
“Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come. All this is done by God, who through Christ managed us from enemies to friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also.” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

I invite you to take absolute control of my life. Beloved if you have prayed this prayer, you are born again and welcome to God’s family.

Is The Phobia Spirit Back?

It was the best performance in this season as Accra Hearts of Oak recorded a 4-0 victory over Heart of
Lions at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast. Hearts of Oak playing away from home as result of crowd violence some couple of weeks ago really impressed football folks the mid week fixture.

Before the game, Accra Hearts of Oak’s 14th position on the league log was worrying as it created a lot of permutations among the football fraternity.

One thing that motivated the boys to go all out against Heart of Lions at Robert Mensah Sports Stadium to eventually win their 22 fixture of the Ghana Premier League sponsored by First Capital Plus Bank was the presence of the old and new board members. This has pushed the team up to 11th position with seven matches to end the season.

Per statistics this season, Hearts of Oak has won seven games, drawn eight and lost eight matches out of 23 games played so far. With the win against Lions in the mid-week, is the phobia spirit back?

This feat should not end if they want to move away from the relegation zone and even stay in for the next season. The management and the technical bench must do more to get the best of result in their next game against New Edubiase away.

Though Heart of Lions came into the game with a winning mentality, the phobians lived up to the accolade; “We never say die until the bones are rotten”.
