Black Stars Coach James kwesi Appiah has named Asamoah Gyan as captain ahead of the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.
Asamoah Gyan also known as 'Baby Jet' currently plies his trade with Al-AIn in the United Arab Emirates league has scored nine goals out of four matches.
He made his debut for the black stars in 2003, scored 28 goals out of 60 matches.
John Mensah is now the general captain according to Coach Appiah.
