DUES is an acronym for Databank Universal Economic School. The Databank Universal Economic School is registered as DUES CLUB under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) as a Club with registration number G-29,970. The DUES CLUB was given a certificate to commence business on 22nd October 2009 after having complied the provision of Sections 27 and 28 of the Companies Code, 1963.

Trustee
The DUES CLUB was created by and is an activity of the Databank Group who holds the authority for the protection of the DUES CLUB’s name and its emblem as the Trustee of the CLUB.
DUES Clubs
DUES Clubs exist only in tertiary institutions. The Club is programmed to introduce students to the economy and financial markets of Ghana and Africa at large.
The purpose of the DUES Clubs are to provide opportunity for students to learn more about investment and to acquire the experience of working together with corporate organizations dedicated to excellence and leadership
It is also the objective of the DUES Clubs to provide a platform for tertiary students to engage with the business world. Students could therefore solicit ideas and be motivated through such platforms to enable them get involved in the economic development of the country.

- Nation Building
Currently, 44 Clubs has been set up in the ten regions of Ghana with a target of 50 Clubs by the close the year. The DUES Clubs has remarkably registered over 5,000 members in the various tertiary institutions. The Club has the intention to have presence in all tertiary institutions in Ghana by the end of 2012.
DUES Young Professionals
The DUES Young Professionals Group was launched recently (August 2009) with a starting membership of about 400 graduates and young workers.
It is a starting point for an exciting career in Ghana where one will have the chance to Involve, Network with peers within Ghana and around Africa, and Learn new developments, ideas and best practices in the corporate world. The group is designed to attract outstanding young and motivated individuals in the country, who have demonstrated a commitment to development, professional achievement and will want to make strides in their career, investment knowledge and potential for leadership.
The aim of the group is to identify young professionals who are either employed or self-employed and equip them with skills not only in the form of expertise and technical depth, but professional breadth including the ability to “see the bigger picture” as far as the corporate world is concerned. The group ensures that its members view development as being holistic and expand their ability to work in a multi-sectoral manner

Membership of the DUES Young professionals Group is open to DUES Club Alumni from all tertiary institutions and other young professionals across the country, with a passion for financial literacy and a potential to become future leaders of our dear nation Ghana and beyond. The group will be organized on a regional basis for example, Accra Chapter, Kumasi Chapter etc

HISTORY
The genesis of the DUES CLUB was in April 2006 with a noble idea of organizing programmes to educate and train the youth on investment and economic issues.
This in 2008, evolved into setting up the DUES Clubs to offer much more to the youth especially students in the tertiary institutions. In the first month, the DUES Club was formed in five tertiary institutions namely, Central University College; Methodist University College of Ghana; University of Ghana; Institute of Professional Studies and Accra Polytechnic, all in the Greater Accra Region.
