3:00 pm for Glo premiership kick off should be maintained.

There will be serious confrontations if football fellows agreed to reschedule the kick off time for our premiership from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

Over the years the kick off time has been 3:00 pm time memorial and that to some extent have prevented matches to play in the gloom.

The fact that Ghana’s league is ranked third in Africa does not necessarily mean the premiership should kick off at 4:00 pm which glaringly it will eat into the evenings where probably there would be challenges.

Considering all the 16 teams, apart from stadia-Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Sekondi, Obuasi do the rest of the league centers have flood lights to ensure crystal-clear play assuming the 4:00 pm is agreed from all quarters?

One could possibly imagine the can of frustration, oppression and repercussion some teams would face if the kick off time should moved from 3:00 pm t0 4:00 pm.

Referees assisted by their able lines-men cannot be left out from this problem as they would be forced to redouble their eyes to ensure quality officiating if the kick off would be shifted to 4:00 pm.

Beside this point, at times some league centers do not start on the exact stipulated period allocated for the match to commence.

   

Until the various league centers have flood lights, the kick off time should not be changed.
