You Are Preserved To Save Lives.

“Joseph, her fiance, was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to

break the engagement quietly. As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife”. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit” Matthew 1:19-20 NLBT

Emphatically, you are chosen vessel selected by God to be a blessing to others and to preserve lives. With this, you can not twist or snap what God has decided to do with you life. God’s intention cannot be compared to that of an ordinary man way of thinking.

When our Lord Jesus was about to be born, Mary was engaged to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, she was still a virgin conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, a carpenter by then, taught of breaking the relationship just to avoid any embarrassment from the people.

Inversely, God sent an angel to keep Joseph posted about the child conceived by Mary. That child was Jesus Christ our lord and personal Savior. Joseph did everything possible to detach himself from Mary, but all efforts could not yielded any results.

Away from that; Genesis 37:28 says” So when the Ishmaelites who were the Midianites traders came by, Joseph’s brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for twenty pieces of silver. And the traders took him to Egypt”.

Joseph, one of the eleven sons of Jacob was very loved by his father and disliked by almost his brothers. His brothers hated him because of a dream he had interpreted as all the family would be bow down before him. Jealousy and bitterness seen in the eye of his brothers made them sold him to the Ishmaelites who then sold him to Potiphar, a captain of the guard for Pharaoh in Egypt. But little did they know God was preserving him for a special mission.

The favor of God was on Joseph and his deeds, hard work and the fear of the lord won him an office in Potiphar’s administration. However, Potiphar’s wife was some thing else as one day she looked at Joseph lustfully. No wonder Joseph was very handsome with a well built physique.  Upon seeing that, Potiphar’s wife one day after every one had gone to work, she grabbed him demanding that Joseph should sleep with her. Joseph tore himself way, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house.

Since he insistently and consistently decline her offer, she reported to her husband, Potiphar; “My husband has brought this Hebrew slave to make fool of us! He came into my room to rape me, but I screamed” Genesis 39: 14b

Potiphar upon hearing such an accusation became furious and without any justification threw Joseph into prison. Although he was in prison, Joseph was greater than all the servants as he interpreted dreams cup bearers and even explained the dreams of Pharaoh where his magicians could not interpret it.

After Joseph’s interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, he was released and made the governor of Egypt with absolute power. “And Pharaoh said to him, “I am Pharaoh, but no one will lift a hand or foot in the entire land of Egypt without your approval. Then Pharaoh gave Joseph a new Egyptian name, Zaphenath –Paneah. He also gave him the daughter of Potiphera, Asenath, as wife.” Genesis 41:44-45

Meanwhile, there was a famine in Egypt and its environs. Joseph’s brothers went to Egypt to buy some grains to survive. They got there and bump into their brother Joseph who was then speaking through an interpreter. So they could not recognize him. But Joseph did. After series of event, Joseph revealed himself and they all wept. Then the brothers blamed themselves for selling him out of hatred and bitterness.

But Joseph said something in Genesis 45:5 “But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry among your selves for selling me to Pharoah. It was God who sent me there ahead of you to preserve your lives”.

Fellow readers and believers in Jesus Christ, God knows you better than any body on this earth. In this mortal world, people will either point a figure at you or otherwise. Never allow others comment upset or cause a distraction in your life. For you are God’s priority and it doesn’t matter your status; social class, position, educated or not.

From now, change your way of thinking and see yourselves as a chosen vessel within a family, society, organization, because God has selected you to lighting the path and preserve lives. Remember, God through his son Jesus Christ is working for you.

NOTE: Pharoah- Is a title given to a king in Egypt.
Midianites: Are descendants of Abraham through Keturah.
Ishmaelites: Are also descendants of Abraham through his son Ishmael
Potiphar: An Egyptian official, who bought Joseph, put him in charge of his house and sent him to prison unjustly.

PRAYER

Dear Lord, thank you for your word. Forgive me for all my sins I have committed. I invite you into my heart to take absolute of my life. Today I know I am your priority and thank you for accepting me. Brethren you are born again in Jesus’ Name. Find any believing church to learn and grow in the Lord.

Faith In Jesus Christ Heals!

“A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding” Mark 5:25 NLTB. 

Can you imagine yourself in either similar situation or otherwise? Life cannot be complete without problems and they way we envisage life is different from the way life writes its own story in our lives. In the same chapter continuing from verse 26, it says “She suffered a great deal from many doctors and over years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but had gotten no better. In fact she had gotten worse” From the said verse you could understand the bleeding woman was eager to find an antidote to such a terrible condition. Apparently, she did everything possible within her power and means to get well by selling whatever she had, borrowed even money from others but unfortunately not even the doctor with immense knowledge could treat her much more a herbalist or deity. 

Brethren, I don’t know your problems and the miles you have travel led to solve them. You have crossed rivers, extemporize strange things you never thought off just to end your illness, joblessness, marriage and educational challenges among other peculiar hard times, yet the problem has surrounded you like the oceans. Remember that situations are always not permanent. The bleeding woman per the story heard about Jesus Christ in middle of a large crowds. Let’s find out what happened. In verse 28-29 of the same chapter tells us “For she thought to her self ‘If I can touch his robe will be healed’. Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she has been healed of her terrible condition” Praise the Lord! Your faith will heal you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Beloved it was faith that healed the bleeding woman. Faith simply means believing in a person or teaching. 

Put your faith in Christ Jesus for he only is the utter and finisher of our faith and no matter the hitches in your life don’t fall to the gyps of occultism, marine forces, non- living creatures and witch crafts whose powers aims at destruction in both short and long terms. Attempting to commit suicide to solve a baffling issue is not the right option. The better way of dealing with those catastrophes today is to have faith in Jesus Christ, repent and live a life worthy of immeasurable blessings because in him we are saved. Romans 10:9 tells us “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raise him from the dead, you will be saved” – Hallelujah.
